Radio and TV Studio

Our Radio and TV Studio provides a platform for your students to express their opinions, explore their communication and listening skills and most of all have fun.

• Provides a 'voice' for your students ideas and opinions

Using the Radio Station you'll be creating audio content for the web radio station and your own school website. And your school could listen in to your activities in real time over the web as you work.

We're looking for you to create a professional 30 minute radio sequence. You may want to create a school news programme or record an audio tour of your school. You might want to capture singing, a music or drama performance, a poetry reading. Maybe you could even interview someone famous? You can even intersperse your work with commercial pop songs and your own jingles.

Using the TV Studio which allows learners to be filmed in front of a blue screen so that we can electronically place any image behind them. In this way the TV studio can be used to bring learning to life as for example, reports can be made from the trenches in the Somme and news items broadcast from any town or city hit by volcanoes or floods.

You'll be creating a TV show for DVD or the web which can be streamed over the internet as if it is coming from your own school website. Why not bring in your class for a half-day or whole-day activity day?
